Sculpture concept
This sculpture explores the complicated relationship between nature, life, and money. A tree—used as a symbol of life holds printed currency in its branches, referencing both power and control. But the tree grips the money so tightly that it begins to bleed, hinting at a painful or morally questionable origin.
The idea came from a simple yet uncomfortable thought: sometimes money is earned in ways that harm people or the world around us. By showing the tree in this state, the sculpture invites viewers to think about the price we pay both personally and globally for financial gain. While trees usually represent growth and hope, here they also raise difficult questions about the cost of that success.
